These Western Red Cedar shingles are 18" in length and vary in width from 3" to 8" wide. Red label shingles are a #2 grade that do allow for knots. The face is typically 11" clear or better on the 18" shingle. Limited sapwood and flat grain are allowed. Limited knots and defects are allowed above the clear portion. There are occational splits in the individual shingles. This shingle is 3/8" to 7/16" thick on the butt end and tapers to an average 1/8" thickness. This is a contractor pack that covers 20 to 25 square feet with a 7" exposure of the shingle. Ideal for new construction, repairs and outdoor projects.
